PTE
Internal alpha · invite-only

Prepare for PTE.

PTE is a computer-based English test from Pearson. Choose the test you need — PTE Academic, PTE Core or PTE Academic UKVI — and practise its real question types and a representative timed mock. This product is in internal alpha, open to invited accounts only, and gives no estimated 10–90 score.

You’ll be asked to log in if you aren’t already. Access is limited to invited alpha accounts.

Three tests, one place to prepare

They share a computer-based format but are different tests. You choose after you enter; each has its own task set, timing and rules.

PTE Academic

The academic English test for study and migration — widely accepted for university admission and for visas worldwide.

Full academic task range (incl. Retell Lecture, Summarize Group Discussion and Write Essay). For UK study below degree level or UK work visas, see Academic UKVI.

PTE Core

A general English test built around everyday, workplace and community situations — used for Canadian economic immigration (IRCC).

Its own task set — including Respond to a Situation and Write Email — and its own rules; it is NOT the same test as PTE Academic. Results align to the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).

PTE Academic UKVI

The same test as PTE Academic, taken at a UKVI-approved centre as a Secure English Language Test (SELT) for UK visas.

Same content, format and scoring as PTE Academic; the official Score Report adds a SELT Unique Reference Number (URN). For UK study below degree level and some work visas (degree-level study uses PTE Academic). This is not PTE Home.

What’s inside

The real question types

Practise each test's scored task types across Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening, organised by its own test parts.

A representative timed mock

A full, timed run with enforced item order — one question at a time, feedback only in the report at the end.

Honest, item-based feedback

Scoring follows Pearson's published item rules. No estimated 10–90 score is invented, and nothing is called official.

Which test to take, and the scores you need, depend on the institution, employer or authority you are applying to — check their current requirements on the official PTE site. MyEnglishPilot is an independent practice tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by Pearson; scores shown are item-based practice results, never an official PTE score or reference number.
